okay, i've officially turned 17. haha. i just really want to thank all the people who celebrated with me, got me gifts, cards, and wished me on my birthday. so here it goes..

argh, it's my birthday again. i know i know, you'll probably be thinking, shouldn't it be a joyous occasion? but then again, i don't wanna get older. i mean.. 1 year older, 1 year closer to death, that's how my dad always puts it. & though i don't wanna admit it, he's absolutely right. so what so great about a birthday? it was simply the day my mum suffered so much pain those 17 years ago. the day she screamed in labour and endured it just for a crying baby to come out. its the day i was taken from God's arms and placed into this world to endure hardships. so what's worth celebrating? the fact that i survived 17 years on this planet? think about it, its true.
haha, but i do thank God for my birthday. it was the day God first breathed life into me, and now He's been doing so for 17 whole years. now that's something to be thankful for. so a birthday's a birthday. to me, it isn't a big deal. in the past, i used to celebrate it every year. but now, i just don't see the need to. 2 people i do thank though, God, and my mum. for obvious reasons.
so, to all those who wished me and celebrated with me, thank you.

it so does not feel like saturday! haha. i didn't go to church today cos went to meet uncle dave and aunty monica before they go back to aust tmr. and there wasn't cg yesterday cos it's replaced with tmr's kbox session. haha. weird week.
anyway, i had to present my SOS speech yesterday and i must say that it wasn't really good. i think it boiled down to a wrong choice of topic. but oh well, no use crying over spilt milk. i shall just make sure my next speech is better. haha. the next speech i'm doing is on cosmetic surgery, and somehow it feels so debatish. lol. i miss debating! haha. LOL.
well well, got back psycho test results too. not too bad i guess. got like 23.5/30. which isn't good or bad so its like hanging. LOL. no comments on it. haha. well anyway, 2 more weeks of cds and that's all. 3 more psycho lessons and 6 more ps lessons.. but lots of tests and project submission too. LOL. it feels like i've been in school for a long time, when in actual fact it's just one month.
i've got nothing much to say though. haha. i don't have any inspiration to write anything. lol. weird huh. oh well. haha. bye!

what is the exact definition of a true friend? i'm sure different people will have different opinions as to what a true friend really is. as for me, i think that the definition of a true friend can be found in miley cyrus/hannah montana's song, true friend. well, for those of you who haven't heard the lyrics, here they are.

yeah, it's really hard to find a true friend these days. why do i say so? well, for one many people don't have the time to put in such effort and embark on such friendships. in this man eat man world, everyone's too concerned with their own well being to take time out and just make sure their friends are alright.
personally i have found a few true friends, and for that i'm thankful. but that's not the task, really. the task is being a true friend myself. am i capable of doing such things? well, i certainly can't answer that, cause it'll definitely be from a biased view-point.
well anyway, true friends are hard to come by. so when you've found a true friend, treasure him or her, they might be one of the only ones you find througout your lifetime. true friends are not friends who don't have any conflict, they are friends who are willing to work out their differences, and come out stronger than before.

this cny is a rather ironic one. why do i say so? well, reunion dinners are all about family, right? den how is it that when my whole family was together on cny during previous years, all we did was rot at home & be bored.. well here's the irony of it all. this year, my parents are not around and thus my family isnt wif me. however, this year i have more activities than i ever had. so if reunions are really all about family, den where's mine? the reunion in reunion dinner is already taken out, thus making it just a simple dinner.
i do credit my aunties and uncles for taking care of me and inviting me to such family events, but it's really sad seeing everyone with their families and knowing that i'm all alone. all i want is a simple family dinner, it doesnt have to be grand, just me, mum and dad eating together. but i guess, that will never happen again. i can't even remember the last time we really ate together, it was probably when i was in sec 2, that's like 3 years ago.
if i were to have a reunion dinner, my mum would have to fly back from the states, and my dad from myanmar. i'm not that selfish, i know, mum has her own life to lead, and dad has his job to do. to mum & dad, thanks for the memories of when we were still a happy family.
so to all those who still have both parents around, living under the same roof, stop complaining about having to go home early to eat dinner at home. you never know when will be your last meal as a whole family. stop complaining about both parents nagging at you, you wont know how much you'll miss it when it's gone. to everyone out there, treasure your family, cos you never know when it'll be incomplete. have a wonderful cny!

poly life has kicked in full swing. just had an impromptu speech presentation on mon n a psycho test on tue. lol. so anyway, the stress level in the class was like... worst than Os. ok, so i may be exaggerating a little but it was intense. LOL.
anyway, i'm just glad its over, & that i have 3 days to complete the rest of my hw. haha. which btw, is alot! yeah.. its only now that i realise how slack secondary school is. & to those who have the notion that poly is all fun & games, seriously, wake up! LOL.
hmmm. i so need to buy clothes, ever since i had to wear clothes to sch everyday, there seems to be a perpetual lack of clothes! LOL. hahaha. so as a result, i should get more allowance to buy clothes. yeah that's just crap. LOL. so anyway, i'll set a target, to buy clothes every month. ok, i think that's just an excuse for me to go shopping n buy stuff! LOL.
anyway, i always learn new things from syl, if u noe wat i mean. lol. okay, the last tym we went out it was: ' eat more chilli, cos chilli hot, can burn your fats' hmmm. LOL. nothing much to comment on rite? anyway, we went out today & we were both so tired! slept super unglamly in the bus.. hahahaha! yeah.. so my day was a rly tiring one, but yet i'm not slping yet. why? cos there's no school tmr & i can slp till i'm contented! YAY!

HELP!! i think i got fatter since i started sch. this is BAD. lol. i'm eating so much laa!! seriously must STOP all this eating!! zzzzz. ok although my weight seems the same, i feel fatter! LOL. hmmm weird. i jus measured my waist n stuff... apparently it became smaller.. but cant be eh! LOL. maybe its cos im hungry. hahahahaaha!
anyway, i should eat less!!!! hahahahaha pls stop me from buying pocky!! LOL.

okay, i'm blogging again cos i'm bored. well, not exactly. anyway, school's fun. LOL. that was random but oh well. i feel like playing swings and going to east coast park, nothing in particular, just that i havent been there in a long long long time! haha. && i wanna go there at night. its no fun gg in the day. lol.
i feel like running, like i'm super active today for no particular reason, but oh well. i wanna go to the park and run and i seriously would, but apparently its like dangerous and i'm supposed to stay at home and be a good girl LOL.
