Potatoes.
yes, people these are potatoes, and mashed potatoes. if you have never seen them around, i can understand why. singapore simply has a lack of potatoes. i mean think about it.. potatoes are a staple food in many parts of the world. do you see any hawker stalls selling potatoes? no. it's just stall after stall selling rice and noodles. no wonder people like me have no food to eat! i'm sorry but i love potatoes and they seem to be unfairly treated in today's society!
what happened to equal rights? so now long strands of multi coloured noodles and teeny grains of white rice rank higher than sweet lovely delicious potatoes? this is appalling! soon, young singaporean kids won't even know what potatoes are. you probably have to tell them... you know the thing french fries are made of. that's the only form of potatoes that's readily available! what ever happened to a nicely baked potato, or freshly mashed potatoes, not those instant jus add water sachets?! ahhh what is happening to this world?!
i want my potatoes!!
okay, i shall search for a decent place with nice potatoes.

School of Theology.
today was graduation service for the sot students. it's great to see our own jocelyn, zac and satish graduate from sot! so CONGRATS to all sot graduants! i'm really gonna miss zac and satish when they return to india. they've become an integral part of E378, and it's not gonna be the same without them. but, at least i got to know them better and they're just awesome people!
well, i myself really wanna go to sot, but i have to wait cos i'm in school now.. i was thinking of going next year, but there's school and such.. oh well... hahaha. i guess i have to wait! be patient christine!! hahaha. BLEAH.
just hearing the stories of sot, it already stirs up the excitement! it's definitely an experience i don't wanna miss out on! for now, something to look forward to... ASIA CONFERENCE 2008!!! definitely gonna be power packed! (:

i thought of writing out a well-thought post, but my brain refuses to work. so, i'm just gonna say, it really helps to have encouragement when you're at your wits end. thanks so much (: after wed i'll be free from exams. for now, i still have to study. ah. i think i need chocolate. hahaha! this week feels weird, impromptu but yet so pleasant.

Study!
so it's study break now and i seriously have to study. i know, i feel myself slowly transforming into a nerd. but, as they always say, 'it's for your own good'.
so, i HAVE been studying, as you can tell from the evidence above. LOL! it's just that everything's so dry and boring. i guess, that's what school is huh?
i can't wait for exams to be over so that i can finally have holidays. and it's all the way till 19 OCT! that's a LONG break. sadly i can't go to the states this time, though i REALLY want to. AHH. why. why. why.
so yeah, i'm stuck here. of all places, HERE. not that i'm not patriotic or anything, but frankly, there's nothing to do here in this tiny red dot. nothing's exciting, nothing's interesting. it's just the same old thing over and over again. BLEAH.
sometimes, i wonder why i didn't leave the last time round.
oh well!
i so need to study someone just slap me cos i'm being such a nerd and i don't know what i'm saying anymore cos all the information has invaded my brain and if you're still reading WOW you're amazing and and ARGH!

Time.
i know, time and tide waits for no man. and i totally agree to that statement as well. however, i think sometimes things are just too fast-paced. like how we get like a SUPER long holiday, but during school term, we have to rush as if we're hungry dogs running after a bone being dragged by a sports car.
okay, that MAY be over-exaggerating, but i really don't understand why EVERYONE seems to be rushing all the time. i mean, is time really so limited? if it is, we wouldn't be shopping or sleeping or doing anything fun at all!
i personally HATE to be rushed. this can apply to any context. i don't like to rush when im getting up, don't like to be rushed while doing work, and don't like to be rushed into making decisions. i believe QUALITY is compromised because of the 'rush factor'.
that said, i'm just me. i like to take things AS THEY COME. i don't like to rush and rush and excessively plan. maybe i'm too laid back, maybe i'm not as urgent for certain things. BUT. i still get work done, i still am able to find time to do everything AT MY OWN PACE.
oh well. what's happening to the world? soon, everyone would be running around and not walking just cos they've 'got no time'. can't things be more RELAXED, more laid back, more liberal when it comes to TIME?
it's ambitious for 1 person's idea to change society, cos it is the way it is.
but i'm not gonna change who i am.
that's cos i'm me.

Relaxation.
finally, after such a long time, i could relax and just have a great day out. with none other than taukua!! & we started the day well... by eating taukuas! hahaha. like every taukua outing we've had, neoprints are a must!!
believe me, we don't really need to act in order to look retarded. HAHAHA.
sometimes, we scare ourselves. hahaha!
yes, we love ourselves and we love red. coincidentally, it's national day! hahaha. we're patriotic u see.. i was wearin red and taukua was in white. it was UNPLANNED. hahaha. telepathy.
anyway, many random things happened today.
we love stars. jus cos they rock. and they're really NICE. hahaha. yes, taukuas taste good cos they've got good taste. hahahaha!
& pardon taukua... she's looking for something.... hahaha. i rmb wad!
this conversation actually took place.
taukua: eh i feel like eating rubbish..
me: oohhhh cool, where's the dustbin?
taukua: *looks for dustbin* i dunno!
yes, as we can see. our dearest taukua REALLY wanted to eat rubbish. hahahaha!
& i was pretending not to know taukua cos she was screaming at every star she saw. yes, even those printed on clothes. *so malu!* hmmmm... hahahaha!
we were both creeped out cos a guy had jus come up to us.. here's what he said..
guy: hey what time is it?
us: erm, 3.30pm.
guy: no..... it's CHARITY TIME!
us: ....... LOL (literally)
& after that, when the guy left...
us: wow, there are some REALLY LAME people around.. LOL!
we realised, we're not that lame after all!
you know why? cos taukuas are cool like that. we simply rock!! WHEEEEE!!

Finally.
okay, my projects are officially OVER. (like finally!) all the late nights of law and econs are gone. cheers to that. though i dont really have much confidence in my projects, i believe i'll do alright (: now, for the next stretch. it's gonna be exams soon. i have to start revision. like NOW. oh well.
& when you think it's all figured out,
everything seems a mess once again.

Overworked.
overworked. it gives a whole new meaning to the word tired. watching your body fail bit by bit in front of your eyes isn't something pleasant. knowing you have to push beyond your limits. i've been doing that for way too long.
my body's slowly refusing to function. my arms ache at the slightest thing, and i jus feel so heavy... ARGH. everyday its activity after activity.. projects upon projects.. and yet, all the effort doesnt seem to pay off. whatever happened to fairness and equity?
oh well.... i can't wait for this week to end. it marks the end of all my projects, and also the end of debate try outs. i've been so tired that i can't even think properly. my mind's probably asleep most of the time.. LOL.
side tracking, i don't understand why certain people insist on talking to me when i'm sleeping. isn't it obvious, if you see someone sitting down, sleeping, looking really tired... you know the person doesnt really wanna hear u rattle on about how your friend got a leech bite! ARGH.
where's the common sense people, where?????
i think, most people nowadays have rare sense.
it's so rare, you have to go search for it..
and even then, you may not always find it.
cos sometimes it just isnt there.

BOO.
okay, i'm back after quite a long time, i think. LOL. christine has been busy with school and other things and thus has been unable to update her blog. thankfully, she's back! her blog now doesnt feel that neglected and can officially stop depression treatment (:
okay, so what has christine been up to, that she neglected her own blog?? sending it into depression and needing counselling... *can't believe christine is so inconsiderate*
alright, christine shall justify her reasons with pictures!
you see, christine had to play at a gig... and so she had practice. not only that, she has lots of projects and cca and school... so..... yeah. and yes, she's wearing make up *everyone clap*
